gems location Woodstock, You dig from our pile of Hi-grade tailings from Mt.
Mica. 45 ft.sluice located at Smedburg's location with preloaded buckets. Every
bucket has colored tourmaline in it and possible 74 different minerals. Great
for learning about minerals and locations that can be found in the area.
Field Trips - Want to take a trip to one of the local
mines? We
take you to the mine, Famous Mt.Mica EVERY SUNDAY! (closed to the public) We
provide the necessary tools, screens and water. We help identify minerals and
show you what to look for. Careful though, rockhounding is addicting and you may
find yourself spending time out in the fresh air, looking for that next special
piece. Bring (2) 5gal buckets for material removal. all us @ Maine Mineral
