The people I meet every year are pure gold. Don and Alberts shared some of their meals with me, she is some cook.      When I see the GPAA members working in these cold streams I just know they must be descendants of hearty pioneer stock. One rainy day Don and I put on our rain suits and worked most of the day in the cold rain. After five days of dredging and panning, Don and I divided our gold flakes. We had two nice bottles of gold flakes for show and tell.      Talking about gold flakes, someone started a rumor that some dredger was getting gold flakes as large as corn flakes. Stan thought it was Don and I. Not! We are not sure, but we kind of traced the rumor back to young Gabe.      For a short vacation I met some real nice people, found some gold and had a real good time. I really think that if a person did not find even the first speck of gold that the trip would still be worth while. Just driving into Wyoming and seeing the awesome Rockies And the bright blue sky, then camping  near a cool rushing stream, makes all the driving seem worth it.      One thing for sure, next year I am going to work things out so I can stay a lot longer.
