Text Box:              Yes, there is still gold in Alaska, lots of it, just ask Dean Race and his son.  They have been prospecting near Chicken, Alaska for quite some years now.  They say that they will not find all of the gold on their claim in their life times.
They lay claim to 14 miles of a river that is so far out in the wilderness, they will go to Fairbanks and fly you in.  Or of course you could drive in, if you like a long drive with great scenery along the way.
Yes, I said that they are willing to fly YOU in, because they offer many different accommodations packages, where you can try your own hand at finding some of those gold nuggets.
The Tomah Wisconsin GPAA Chapter is currently planning on have an outing to Chicken, Alaska in 2007.  So if you would like to join the club on this trip, just contact Mike Flint.

Text Box:  Or if you would just like to learn about Dean Race and their operation, you can contact Dean at Goldfev@aol.com and he will forward more information.

Text Box: Current Gold Price as of  March 24, 2006 is $560.20.
